Southampton - East Cowes Ferries

Situated on Southampton Water at the top of the Solent, the port covers a vast area, and offers excellent facilities for all commercial shipping lines. There are two terminals at Southampton port. Terminal 1 is the passenger and vehicle ferry terminal, located at Dock Gate 7 on Town Quay Road Southampton.

From Southampton, Red Funnel Group offers ferry services to Cowes. The passenger vehicle ferry has a crossing time of 55 minutes, and arrives in East Cowes, Isle of Wight (numerous daily departures). There is also a high-speed passenger ferry, which runs to West Cowes in 23 minutes. The onboard facilities include a café, bar, shop and toilets.

Services provide excellent access to wheelchair users, the only exception is the upper deck area. If you should need any assistance during your journey, contact the onboard services officer, located at the bureau, or alternatively ask any member of staff.

Cowes is ideally located on the Isle of Wight in southern England, with London just two hours away by road or rail once on the mainland. The ferry terminal is located just north of the shopping area (4 minute walk) and close to the floating bridge and water taxi berth (3 minute walk), hence there are many services and facilities within easy reach of the port area, including shops, banks and restaurants.
