Portsmouth is situated centrally on the South coast, with excellent links to the motorway. The Main Continental Ferry Terminal provides an information desk which is open daily, a cafeteria and licensed bar, newsagent and gift shop. A cash point, bureau de change, photo booth, baby care room, payphones and public fax are also available.
P&O Portsmouth offers daily ferries to Le Havre, crossings taking 5 hours, 30 minutes. There are up-to three sailings daily (08:30, 15:50 and 23:30) onboard the cruise-ferry Pride of Le Havre. Excellent onboard facilities are available, along with considerable passenger and freight capacity.

Le Havre is France's second biggest port, and the closest port to Paris, which is just 200 kms south. The Terminal de Grande Bretagne, which is close to the rail and bus stations in the Bassin de la Citadelle handles the P&O sailings to Portsmouth. A small tourist information desk opens during the summer months, while the main tourist office is located on the Boulevard Clémenceau near the Pleasure Port. Terminal facilities include a cafe, convenience store and bureau de change.
