Book Lerwick to Kirkwall Ferry tickets here!

Orkney's capital of Kirkwall is built around a large, sheltered bay. The harbour area has been ruined by modern development but still retains the centuries-old narrow twisting streets and lanes of the old town. Many houses in the area date from the 16th to 18th centuries. Perhaps the greatest attraction though, is the city?s stunning cathedral, arguably the finest medieval building in northern Scotland.
