Smyril Lines' vessel sails the following route: Hanstholm-Tórshavn-Lerwick-Bergen-Lerwick-Tórshavn-Seyðisfjørður-Tórshavn-Lerwick. This route is serviced once a week, departing Hanstholm on Saturday morning, arriving in Tórshavn 9 hours later. The ship docks in Tórshavn for 3 hours, before journeying another 13 hours to reach Lerwick. It then takes 13 hours to travel to Bergen, before the return journey, all the way to Seyðisfjørður.

The vessel, the Braurfoss, Eimskip's flagship, sails every two weeks from Reykjavik to the Faroe Islands. Although primarily designed for cargo transport, the Braurfoss has comfortable and modern facilities for passengers. There are six cabins on board, each accommodating two passengers.
