Traveling to Port

Transportation to and from the Port of Stromness

There are several buses daily (Mon-Sat) from Stromness to Kirkwall. There is also a bus from Stromness to Birsay running on Mondays only.

Craigie's Taxis (tel: + 44 (0) 1856 87 8787) situated on Great Western Road in Kirkwall, are available for transport around the island.

There are direct flights to Kirkwall airport daily (except on Sundays) from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Shetland, with onward connections available to London Heathrow, Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast. All these flights are run by Loganair/British Regional Airlines.

Ferries operate between Stromness and Scrabster, while other services are available to Graemsay.

Motorists will find a limited number of parking spaces located near the port.
