Transportation to and from the Port of Rostock

Book Port of Rostock tickets here!

Rostock is well-connected to the rest of Europe by motorways as well as public trains and buses. Ferries operate from the port to destinations in Denmark, Estonia, Finland and Sweden.

If you are travelling from Berlin by car, follow the A19 to Rostock. If you are travelling from the west, then take the A20. The motorway ends only 300 meters from the harbour, and the ferry terminals are easily accessible.

Travellers who are not arriving by car can use a shuttle bus service between the harbour terminals and the train station, provided by Trans Port Rostock GmbH. Seven times per week there are shuttle trains to and from Verona with a transit time of 27 hours.

The bus departs 90 minutes prior to the departure and half an hour after arrival of ferries in Rostock. The transfer takes 30 minutes, with bus tickets available on board.

Ferries sail to Gedser (Denmark), Trelleborg (Sweden), Helsinki (Finnland) and Tallin (Estonia), with four companies providing services on these routes.

Once arrived at the port, you will find free parking available in the harbour area.
