Ferry companies operating in the Port of Piraeus

The Greek ferry company ANEK Lines offers ferry services that connect many of the Greek Islands with mainland Greece, as well as with Italian ports Ancona and Trieste.
The Greek destinations are : Piraeus, Chania, Rethymnon, Heraklion, Patras, Igounmenitsa, and Corfu. The following sailings are offered, connecting Piraeus with the principal cities on Crete: Piraeus-Chania (8 ½ hours), Piraeus-Rethymnon (9 ½ hours) and Piraeus-Heraklion (8 ½ hours).

Bluestar Ferries offers a range of domestic Greek ferry routes: Piraeus-Chania (crossing time of 5 hours, 45 minutes), Piraeus-Heraklion (6 hours, 10 minutes), Piraeus-Siros (3 hours, 40 minutes), Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos (6 hours, 40 minutes) and Piraeus-Syros-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini (daily departures, crossing time of 7 hours, 25 minutes).

Dane Sea Line offers daily routes from Piraeus: to Patmos (9 hours), Leros (10 hours), Kalymnos (11 ½ hours), Astipalea (9 ½ hours), Kos (12 hours), Rhodes (14 hours), Siros (4 ½ hours), Amorgo (8 ½ hours), Paros (5 ½ hours), Naxos (6 ½ hours) and Mykonos (6 hours). Sailing times vary greatly depending on the time of the year, weather and vessel in operation.

Hellas Flying Dolphins has many routes it services from Piraeus: Piraeus-Paros-Naxos; Piraeus-Paros-Ios-Santorini; Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos; Piraeus-Kythnos-Serifos-Sifnos-Milos; Rafina-Tinos-Mykonos-Paros and Herakleion-Santorini-Ios-Paros-Naxos-Mykonos; Piraeus-Poros-Hydra-Hermioni-Spetses-Porto Heli and Piraeus-Aegina-Methana-Poros. Apart from these Highspeed ferryboat routes, the conventional ferry offers the following routes: Piraeus-Ikaria-Samos; Piraeus-Kythnos-Serifos-Sifnos-Kimolis-Milos; Piraeus-Paros-Naxos-Ios-Santorini; Piraeus-Syros-Tinos-Mykonos; and Rafina-Andros-Tinos-Mykonos. Most routes have several vessels operating on a daily basis, but sailing times and frequencies vary greatly during the high and low season.

Lane Lines' ferries operate on a round-trip route between nine Greek destinations: Piraeus, Milos, Agios Nikolaos, Sitia, Kasos, Karpathos, Dianfani, Chakli and Rhodes. The most frequent sailings are from Piraeus, with a departure almost daily, except Saturday. Vessels depart Piraeus around 19:00. Departure times and frequencies for the other destinations vary greatly depending on whether it is high or low season; however, departures are almost daily.

Minoan Lines services the Piraeus to Heraklion route. This route is operated once daily, departing Heraklion at 21:00 and arriving in Piraeus at 5:00 the next morning. There is also a midday sail during the high season departing Heraklion at 11:00. The journey time is 8 hours.

Poseidon Lines' ferry F/B Olympia departs Piraeus every Monday, bound for Haifa in Israel. The return route is Piraeus-Rhodes-Limassol in Cyprus-Haifa in Israel. The whole journey takes 73 hours. During the summer months, Poseidon Lines also operates a return route of: Piraeus-Hiraklion-Rhodes-Limassol-Haifa, once week, departing Piraeus on Monday and arriving in Haifa on Thursday. The journey time from Piraeus to Haifa is roughly 80 hours.
