Traveling to Port
Transportation to and from the Port of Paxi (Gaios)
Ferries connect the island with Patras and Igoumenitsa on mainland Greece, while buses provide public transport on the island. There are also summertime crossings available to Corfu onboard hydrofoils.
A road network serves all parts of the island, providing fast and convenient access to all villages. However some of the roads are in a poor condition in the more rural parts of the island.
A bus service is available from Gaios to Magazia, Logos and Laka, with frequent departures available throughout the day.
