Trains depart frequently for Athens, tickets cost €12 (duration: 4 hours). There are also rail connections to other major Greek centres.

Buses are also available to destinations around Greece, departures to Athens are every 30 minutes and the station is within walking distance of the diembarkment area, but it is fairly Spartan and disorganised. The service is operated by KTEL, the national bus company. While international bus connections are available from Eurolines.

The most convenient airport is in Athens, the new Athens International Airport, which is accessible via Attiki Odos, a six-lane motorway constituting the Athens City Ring Road.

Parking is available in the port area, and on the main street located behind the port. Long-term parking is available and designated areas are provided for those with disabilities.
