Ferry companies operating in the Port of Patras
Greek ferry company ANEK Lines offers ferry services that connect many of the Greek Islands with mainland Greece, as well as with Italian ports Ancona and Trieste. In fact, ANEK lines is the only Greek shipping company to sail the route of Patras-Trieste, stopping at Igoumenitsa and Corfu en route. Crossings from Patras to Trieste are available six times a week: Patras - Corfu (7 hours) - Igoumenitsa (10 hours from Patras) - Trieste (32 hours from Patras). Frequencies of sailings change during high and low season. There are also daily crossings between Patras and Ancona during the summer months, calling at Corfu en route: Patras-Igoumenitsa (5 hours, 30 mins) -Ancona (19 hours, 30 mins from Patras). The number of crossings is reduced to six per week during low season.
Superfast Ferries operates two routes from Patras. The Patra-Ancona route is serviced twice daily, with one sailing stopping at Igoumenitsa en route. The journey time is 19 hours. The Patras-Bari route is serviced daily, stopping en route at Igoumenitsa, with a journey time of 15 .5 hours. Some of these sailings may be operated by Blue Star Ferries, a sister company of Superfast Ferries.

Blue Star Ferries operates sailings on the Patras-Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Venice route (four sailings per week, duration: 27-35 hours), and also on the Patras-Igoumenitsa-Ancona route (daily). A further crossing is made to Ancona in Italy, on the direct Patras-Ancona route.
Hellenic Mediterranean offers up to six sailings weekly from Patras to Brindisi during the high season, with crossing times of 16 .5 hours.
Maritime Way operates on the Patras-Igoumenitsa-Brindisi route. During the summer season, there are almost daily sailings on these routes, with reduced crossings during the winter.
Minoan Lines services the Patras-Corfu-Igoumenitsa route three to four times a week during low season and six times a week during high season (no sailing Monday). The journey time from Patras-Corfu is 6 .5 hours, with the total journey time being 8 hours. The company also has a connection with Italy on the route: Patras-Igoumenitsa-Ancona and Patras-Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Venice. On the Patras-Igoumenitsa-Ancona route, there are daily sailings throughout the year. Departures are at 18:00 from Patras, arriving in Ancona at 12:30 the following day. The entire journey takes 28 .5 hours. For the Patras-Corfu-Igoumenitsa-Venice route, the company has four sailings a week during low season (Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday), rising to six sailings a week during the high season (no sailing on Monday) or even daily sailings. There are two main departures times from Patras, at 15:00 and 24:00, depending on the season. The total journey time is 20 .5 hours to Ancona.
