Traveling to Port
Transportation to and from Newcastle Port
There is a metro connection to Newcastle centre, with a bus service also available to the city and country. Excellent motorways provide efficient travel throughout the UK, while sea-crossings offer access to Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands.
When driving to the port from the west follow signs to the City, and then signs for the coast which continues on to the A1058. Follow signs to ferries and North Sea, which leads to the Royal Quays. From both the north and south, drive along the A19 to Tyne Tunnel roundabout, which is north of the River Tyne, then follow signs to ferries and North Sea, which leads to the Royal Quays.
