Useful Information
Port of Livorno

The heart of old Livorno is a stone's throw from the Medicean port, where the ferries dock, and where the old fortress stands. Livorno has, for many years, been one of the greatest and the most flourishing ports in the Mediterranean. Over a million and a half passengers use the terminals annually to board ferries connecting Livorno to the Tuscan archipelago (islands such as Capraia and Gorgona) and to the largest islands of the Mediterranean (Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily).
The passenger terminal offers bars, restaurants, a conference centre and other necessary services, and also provides a shuttle bus service to and from the city centre. Waiting rooms, banks, a nursery and first aid post are also on hand.

Both ferries and the passenger terminal provide facilities for those with disabilities, including wheelchair access. However, the level of provisions varies between companies, and passengers are advised to contact their ferry company prior to travelling, informing them of any special needs that they may have.
