Transportation to and from Liverpool Port
Liverpool has excellent road, rail and bus connections. The railway is situated in the city centre, and is easily reached by bus or taxi. Ferries from the port provide connections to Dublin, Belfast and the Isle of Man.
If arriving from the M62 to the Superseacat and Isle of Man Steampacket Terminal, follow signs to the Ferries along the A5080 and then the A5047 for five miles. The Terminal is situated off Princes Parade.

When arriving at P&O Irish Sea Terminal from the M58/M57 interchange follow the signs for the Docks/Seaforth along the A5036 for about three miles, then at the first roundabout take the third exit and then the second exit on the next roundabout underneath the flyover. Take the left fork into Seaforth Terminal - Freeport Entrance and follow the signs to the Ferry Terminal.
To reach the Twelve Quays River Terminal from the South, follow the M53 to junction 1 and then take the A554. Follow the signs to Twelve Quays River Terminal. From Liverpool take the river crossing to Birkenhead and then follow signs as above.
Liverpool is served by nationwide bus (National Express) and train services to all parts of the country. There are also rail links to London, Virgin Express operating a frequent service to London (duration 2h, 30m). Local transport around Liverpool is provided by SMART buses.
Ferries sail daily for Belfast and Dublin in Ireland as well as Douglas in the Isle of Man.
Taxis are provided by Mersey Cabs (tel: + 44 (0) 151 298 2222 / (0) 151 207 2222) and can transport passengers from train and bus termini to the port areas.
