Port of Le Havre

Book Port of Le Havre tickets here!

Rebuilt after World War II, this busy port is a principal gateway to picturesque Normandy, Honfleur and the spires of Rouen. Le Havre is France's second biggest port - a deep-sea harbour with excellent access to the hinterland, and the closest port to Paris (200 kms south). Ferry crossings are available to Portsmouth, with P&O Portsmouth ferries.

There are two ferry terminals in Le Havre. The Terminal de Grande Bretagne (British Terminal) is close to the rail and bus stations in the Bassin de la Citadelle and operates P&O thrice-daily sailings from Portsmouth. The other is the Terminal Irelande (Irish Terminal), nearer the town centre, on Boulevard Kennedy, which used to operate services to and from Ireland.

Both ferry terminals open small tourist information desks during the summer months. There is also a main tourist office on the Boulevard Clémenceau near the Pleasure Port, while terminal facilities include a cafe, convenience store and bureau de change.

There is good wheelchair access across the terminal, while further assistance in boarding is available provided you notify staff when making your reservation.
