The Port of Kapellskär is located 90kms north of Stockholm. With its short entrance channel and its good road links, the port is an important gateway for passengers arriving in Sweden. Over 1.5 million passengers use the port annually, while there is also a movement of 2.3 million tonnes of freight through the port.
There are four quays at the port, Quay 2 catering for services to Åland and Quays 3 and 4 catering for services to Finland. Port facilities include a passenger terminal with a convenience store, public toilets and telephones. There is no restaurant but there is a cafe that opens for ferry arrivals and departures.
