Port of Ijmuiden

Ijmuiden is a small town Dutch town with pleasant local shops and restaurants serving excellent seafood. However, Amsterdam, one of Europe's most avant-garde and compact cities, is a mere 20 miles away. Ferry crossings are available from Ijmuiden to Newcastle in England, with sailings provided by DFDS.

Terminal facilities aren't extensive, though you will find a convenience store, newsagents and gift shop in the terminal building. Vending machines offer a variety of hot and cold refreshment. At Ijmuiden there is a tourist information centre, which will cater for all needs.
