Rail, motorway and bus provide fast and convenient access to the port, with ferries providing connections to Belfast as well as the Isle of Man.

If you are travelling to the port by car, exit the M6 (junction 34) and then follow the A589 to Morecambe and Heysham for 3.5 miles. At the second roundabout, bear onto the A683 to Heysham, which is situated 3.5 miles away. Then direct yourself in accordance with ferry port signs until you arrive at the terminal - situated at the west end of Heysham village.

Northwestern Trains runs a connecting boat-train service which connects with most daytime arrivals and departures. The boat-train links with InterCity services which serve both Preston and Lancaster. During the summer, the boat-train serves Stockport via Manchester, Bolton and Preston. You will find the station platform at Heysham Port located only 50m from the Passenger Terminal.

The port is also accessible by bus, with Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool all within a 90-minute drive. Stagecoach Ribble runs a bus service from Combermere Road in Heysham, which is a 10-minute walk from the passenger terminal (tel: +44 (0) 194 663222).

Ferries connect the port with Douglas in the Isle of Man, as well as Belfast in Northern Ireland.

You will find 24-hour parking available at the terminal building, with maximum stays of 28 days possible at £2.50 per day.
