Useful Information
Port of Gothenburg
The Port of Gothenburg (Göteborg) is located on the Sweden's west coast. It lies within the city limits of Göteborg, Sweden's second largest city and its main port. The approach by boat is the most interesting way of arriving in Gothenburg. Visitors are welcomed by attractions such as the Skärgård, Älvsborgsbron and the waterfront, with the unique feature of arriving directly in the city centre.
A new passenger/cruising terminal was opened in May 2001. Located across the River Göta from the city centre, the terminal has an excellent location, close to road and rail connections. DFDS Seaways now operates a regular passenger/car service to the UK and Norway from this terminal, which is called Kajskjul 107. There is a cafe, departure lounge and shop selling snacks and reading materials in the terminal.
