Transportation to and from East Cowes
East Cowes is connected to Southampton by the Red Funnel Group, with fast and slow ferries available. Southampton, in turn, is well connected to the UK transport infrastructure, with excellent motorways and rail connections speeding you on to other destinations.
Southampton is easily reached by motorway, being connected to London by the M3 motorway, and to other coastal locations by the M27.
If you are arriving/departing by road from Newport take the A3054 and then A3021 to East Cowes (allow 15 minutes) or alternatively take the A3020 to West Cowes where you will need to use the floating bridge to reach East Cowes (freight vehicles not allowed). You should allow a further 10-20 minutes if using the floating bridge.
Southern Vectis run regular services between East Cowes and Newport (service 5) and Ryde (service 4). During the summer there are special services which run Round the Island towns (contact Southern Vectis on 01983 292082 for more information).

InterCity trains operate from London Waterloo to Southampton, providing efficient connections between the Capital and Southampton.
Southampton International airport is just 50 minutes away from the Island and offers a range of services to the UK and destinations worldwide. Bournemouth, Gatwick and Heathrow International Airports are also accessible and offer a wide range of air services.
Ferries run throughout the day, connecting East Cowes with Southampton, from where you may connect to other parts of the UK. Trains depart hourly from London Waterloo station to Southampton.
Car parking is provided in Well Road within three minutes drive of the ferry terminal and also along the waterfront.
