Red Funnel Isle of Wight Ferries has a passenger vehicle service with 17 departures daily (one less on Sunday), from East Cowes to Southampton. Departures are around the clock, 364 days a year, with the first sailing departing at 1:00 and the last sailing departing at 23:30. Journey time on the passenger vehicle service is 55 minutes. Red Funnel also operates hi-tech Red Jets that only carry passengers and are non-bookable, i.e. passengers simply show up and go. The Red Jets service the West Cowes-Southampton route in just 22 minutes, roughly 34 times daily - one almost every 30 minutes. There are slightly fewer sailings on weekends.
