Port of East Cowes

Cowes is ideally located on the Isle of Wight in southern England, with access provided by a vehicle and passenger ferry service between Cowes and Southampton. Although being the smaller part of Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, and separated by the River Medina, East Cowes has a beautiful seafront suitable for the whole family, as well as superb views of yachting in the Solent, and Hampshire coastline. The town is also famous for hosting the annual Cowes Week regatta.

There are up-to 350 ferry crossings a day, and adjacent Southampton is only two hours from London. Once on the island the ferries connect daily with road, taxis and coach links to whisk you off to your island destination.

The ferry terminal is located just north of the shopping area (four minute walk) and close to the floating bridge and water taxi berth (three minute walk) hence there are many services and facilities within easy reach of the port area, including shop, banks and restaurants.

The on-board facilities (café, bar, shop and toilets) on Red Funnel Group ferries offer excellent access to wheelchair users, the only exception is the upper deck area. If you should need any assistance during your journey, contact the On Board Services Officer, located at the bureau, or alternatively ask any member of staff. Those with disabilities are provided with good wheelchair access, and may refer to port and ferry staff for further assistance.
