SeaFrance offers around the clock sailings for the Dover to Calais crossing, with times to suit every passenger's trip schedule. There are 42 crossing daily, made up of 21 departures each day in each direction between Calais and Dover. With its fleet of five vessels, SeaFrance prides itself in providing an important service that allows the traffic flow between Great Britain, Ireland and Continental Europe.

The ferry service that Norfolk Line operates between Dover and Dunkerque does not permit foot-passengers or coach groups, but concentrates on the efficient transportation of passengers with cars, caravans and trailers, motor homes and motorcycles. There are 10 sailings daily Monday through Friday and a reduction to eight sailings a day on Saturday and Sunday from each port. This is an increase from 7 daily departures, after Norfolk Line added two new 'drive through' vessels to the route. The crossing takes 2 hours.
Speed Ferries currently operates only one route, from Dover to Boulogne-sur-Mer in France. There are five daily return sailings, with a crossing time of 50 minutes aboard the SpeedOne. The first sailing departs Dover at 7:30, with subsequent sailings departing at 3 ½ hour intervals. The last sailing departs Dover at 21:30. Speed Ferries operates from the Eastern Docks in Dover.
P&O Ferries has up-to 35 return crossings per day, 364 days per year to Calais in France, with a crossing time of just over 1 hour.
