Traveling to Port

Transportation to and from the Port of Corfu

Book ferries from the port of Corfu here

Buses provide good transport around the island, while ferries connect Corfu to destinations in Greece and Italy.

Public buses are very cheap and provide an efficient way of travelling around the island. However they tend to be crowded in summertime.

Corfu Bus Terminal is the port of call for long-distance buses (KTEL Kerkyra) that travel to and from Athens twice a day (vai ferries). Buses are also available to Thessaloniki and other major centres.

Those with cars may travel on to Athens (500 kms, duration nine hours), Igoumenitsa, Patras and other locations in Greece.

Corfu has air connections with many European cities through charter companies. Olympic Airways offers daily flights to Athens and on certain days of the week there are flights to Thessaloniki.

The Island has excellent connections to mainland Greece with frequent sailings to Igoumenitsa, Patras and Piraeus and also to the Italian ports of Bari, Brindisi and Ancona.

You will find parking for both the short and the long-term at the port, while further parking is available around the town within walking distance of the port area.
