Useful Information
Port of Bilbao

Bilbao is the thriving financial capital of Spain's
Basque country, an ideal jumping-off point for
a host of destinations in Northern Spain, Southwest
France and also Portugal. The port of Bilbao
is one of Spain's busiest seaports, and provides
frequent sailings to Portsmouth in the south
of England.
The ferries don't actually dock in the centre
of Bilbao, but at a local port about 15 miles
away. The company runs coach trips to Bilbao
and to a local fishing village, and in the summer
they also provide links to the Guggenheim museum
in Bilbao.

are also available. Vending machines sell hot
drinks and light snacks, while public telephones
are also available in the building. A shop selling
local food products, wines, and handcrafts is
another convenience, while tourist information
is on hand at the tourism and information desk

Toilet facilities for the disabled are available
onboard the ferries, and inside the terminal
building. Assistance on boarding ferries is
also available, though passengers should inform
the ferry company when making their reservation.
