Port of Antikythira

Book Port Ferry Tickets here!

Located between the islands of Crete and Kythira, the small rocky island of Antikythira attracts those in search of peace and wilderness. It has a very long history and the ruins of the ancient city are still in evidence near Potamos - the capital and port of the island. Antikythira is the most remote of the Ionian Islands, and is connected to Piraeus on the mainland as well as a number of other Greek islands.

The island's only main town is Potamos, which has limited facilities. The port isn't regarded as safe during spells of bad weather, so ferries will occasionally cancel sailings. A number of shops and guesthouses are available within walking distance of the port.

Those with disabilities will find good wheelchair access onboard all ferries operating to the island. However passengers are advised to inform their ferry company of any special needs when making their reservations.
