Port of Ajaccio

Ajaccio is the most important port on the western side of Corsica. The brilliant white city of Ajaccio lies in a semicircle on the bay, and is set against the backdrop of wooded hills. The port area, fringed by palm trees, is filled with yachts and lined with colourful houses. Ferries operate out of the port to Toulon and Nice in the south of France, with daily departures to both ports.

As the port is located near the centre of Ajaccio, there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. At the port itself you will find a convenience store and a cafe, as well as toilet facilities. All ferries provide good onboard facilities, including cafes, restaurants and shops.

All ferries are equipped to accommodate passengers with disabilities, providing wheelchair access to their onboard facilities. The passenger terminals also have good wheelchair accessibility, with disabled toilets also provided. Those with particular needs are advised to inform their ferry company, when making their reservation.
