Seacat The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company
SeaCat and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company offer sailings between the UK and Ireland, as well as connections from both countries to the Isle of Man. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company is now owned by the private equity firm Montagu Private Equity Ltd and is no longer a subsidiary company of Sea Containers Ltd.
Sea Containers operates the popular route from Troon, in Scotland, to Belfast, in Northern Ireland, across the Irish Sea. The company pioneered fast crossings on this route, which halved the previous journey times offered by competing ferry companies. Today, the company operates state of the art vessels, guaranteeing a seat for every passenger, with airline style check-in for quick and efficient service.

The company also has a Blue Riband club for business travellers, providing priority loading and unloading, complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits and newspapers. A frequent flyer scheme is also offered for regular travellers, which discounts travel following the completion of five journeys. SeaCat does not carry coaches or freight, so there is no queuing behind heavy goods vehicles, allowing quick turn around times in port and reducing times for motorists.
