DFDS Ferries
The principle ferry route on The Kattegat is:
Copenhagen-Helsingborg-Oslo / (Oslo –Helsingbord-Copenhagen)
On The Kattegat, the DFDS Copenhagen-Helsingborg-Oslo route connects Denmark with Norway, with a journey time of roughly 16 hours. Sailings are once daily, with vessels departing Copenhagen at 17:00, arriving in Oslo the following morning at 09:00. The Copenhagen-Trelleborg-Gdansk service, connecting Denmark with Poland, operates three times a week and sailings take about 18 hours. However, this route has recently been suspended.
Denmark is nearly completely surrounded by sea and as such it makes it great for a ferry trip from DFDS Denmark ferries.
North Sea North DFDS ferry routes:
Harwich-Esbjerg / (Esbjerg – Harwich)
On the North Sea North route, the company sails from Harwich to Esbjerg three times a week, with a journey time of 18 hours.
Newcastle-Kristiansand-Gothenburg / (Gothenburg- Kristiansand-Newcastle)
The Newcastle-Kritiansand-Gothenburg route takes 26 hours, 30 minutes and departs twice a week. In Newcastle, DFDS vessels sail from the International Ferry Terminal, Royal Quays, North Shields, located 8 miles east of the city centre.
Bergen –Newcastle / (Newcastle – Bergen)
The Bergen to Newcastle ferry from DFDS Seaways takes approximately 26 hours and departs twice a week. The Mini Cruise has 5 crossings weekly each taking around a day to travel from port to port. DFDS Norway run many vessels to and from Norway and want you to truly enjoy your holiday or trip and relax with us. Our vessel ‘Princess of Norway’ - the newest ferry to the DFDS Norway fleet, sails overnight to the gateway to the fjords, Bergen.
North Sea South DFDS ferry routes:
Harwich-Cuxhaven / Cuxhaven – Harwich
On the North Sea South route, DFDS Seaways offers Harwich-Cuxhaven three times a week, with a journey time of 19 hours, 30 minutes.
Newcastle-Amsterdam / Amsterdam-Newcastle
The DFDS Newcastle-Amsterdam (Ijmuiden) ferry route departs daily, with a journey time of 16 hours. Ships depart Newcastle at 17:30 and arrive in Amsterdam the following morning at 09:30.
